Splish, splash, paddle and play,
ducks dabbling on a summer’s day.
Quack and chatter in feathery fray,
ripples echo their buoyant ballet.
Webbed feet stir the mirrored sheen,
circles spread where they have been.
Glimmering in the sunlight's lean,
with each plunk and plop a playful joy.
In this melodic, harmonious jive,
nature’s choir by the pond does thrive.
Where ducks and water convivially connive,
life’s simple tune there derive.
